American Waste promotes environmental protection by handling recycling services for Grand Traverse County. American Waste maintains collection containers at 11 different sites throughout Grand Traverse County as part of the counties drop off recycling program. Environmental awareness continues with practicing an in-house recycling program. Recyclable materials are collected and transported to the American Waste owned and operated Material Recycling Facility (MRF), where materials are segregated and transported off-site for further processing and use in various consumer products.
